2023 Italian Campaign Canadian Battlefield & Remembrance Tour 17 – 30 October 2023

Questo tour nasce per seguire le orme dell'esercito canadese ripercorrendo la campagna d'Italia del 1943-1945, le aspre battaglie che hanno contraddistinto i canadesi come forza combattente. Fu qui, molto prima della campagna di Normandia, che i soldati canadesi - affettuosamente chiamati "D-Day Dodgers" - lasciarono il segno del loro sacrificio in battaglie leggendarie in luoghi come il Monte Assoro, la Valle del Liri, Ortona, Coriano Ridge e così via molti altri.

Un Tour che parte da Bark West Beach a Pachino e si conclude a Venezia. Accompagnati da uno dei maggiori storici canadesi delle differenti campagne della 2 guerra mondiale Mark Zuehlke. 

Follow in the footsteps of the Canadian Army as we retrace the 1943-1945 Italian campaign, the fierce battles that set the Canadians apart as the superior fighting force even in the most difficult conditions of war. It was here, long before the Normandy campaign, where our Canadian soldiers – affectionately called the ‘D-Day Dodgers’ – left their mark of sacrifice in legendary battles at such places as Monte Assoro, the Liri Valley, Ortona, Coriano Ridge and so many more.
